Description
When I first noticed how many Great Blue Herons were here a few years ago, I always wanted to go back with my good camera and get better photos of them. I finally had the chance to see them again today and I took the time to photograph them. There had to be over 100 nests in the area, it was impressive! Upon doing some research on them, turns out this is called a colony and they nest in such big groups as its better protection for their young.
